Crash Drum School Presented its first anual Drumming master class for its students and the drumming comunity. The night was a huge success with just under 150 people attending the event.
The first act of the night was the Jack Edwards Trio with Adam Swales on drums. The band entertained the audience with there own versions of some classic songs from the funk and blues genre.
The main act of the night was Erik Stams, head of drums and percussion at Drumtech in London, Europe’s leading school for contemporary music. Erik opened with an energetic and musical drum solo incorporating a variety of drumming styles demonstrating incredible playing ability and command over the drum kit. After blowing the audience away with his drumming, Erik gave an informative chat on some of his concepts on playing and practicing the Drum Kit. He finished with a storming performance of Led Zeppelins Whole Lotta’ Love.
The night finished on a high with two local bands performing. The drummers were Mitch Hudson and Arron Appleyard, who both study at Crash.
